To the people who persist in failing reading comprehension:

I only ship internationally via priority Mail. This is why I say contact me before you bid for international shipping costs. Do not get all insulted when I send you an invoice after close with a $30.00 shipping and handling charge. The post office charges an arm and a leg for everything now. And while we're at it, no I will not commit postal fraud and mark your item as a gift so you don't have to pay customs tax. It's called following the rules, dumbass, and if you aren't prepared to accept the costs associated with purchasing from overseas, you shouldn't bid. Got it?

For that matter, unless it's individual TCG singles, I only ship Priority Mail. This is why it says Shipping Method Priority Mail in the listing. Do not e-mail me and ask for a first class or parcel post quote. If I offered those shipping options, they'd be in the goddamn listing. In most cases, the difference is only a dollar or two, and yes, I will make you pay that dollar or two so that I have delivery confirmation and am protected from fraud claims. Don't like it? Don't bid, and for gods's fucking sake don't trash me on the DSR. You agreed to the shipping and handling charges when you bid; I charge actual shipping plus a small handling fee, which I'm Allowed to do in accordance with ebay guidelines. Not all mys hipping supplies are free, especially when dealing with shipping TCG's.

And YOU, you ebay neophyte with your zero feedback and your brand spanking new account. When the auction says "payment to be received within three days of auction close" do not e-mail me and tell me you're just getting started and you haven't even set up your goddamn Paypal account yet! That process takes time, and so help me Hannah, if I don't have your payment after seven days, when Ebay lets me file a NPB? I am filing, and offering those cards to the next person down. I try to be nice, but from now on, all bulk TCG lots are going to say, in big bold letters, Feedback rating of 50 or more required to bid on this listing; if you have a lower feedback and still bid, I will cancel your bid. I'm tired of this shit.

And this last, while not horrible, is just annoying to me lately. I do not alwatys stay up until my auctions end on a particular night. Ebay has this nice little section on my seller page which tells me when I have people eligible for combined invoices. So, really, just because you don't get a combined invoice the minute the auction ends, does not mean you need to email me with a "Dude, wtf? I like, one many things last night and need the combined shipping. I don't want to pay individually, or some junk."

Meh. I will be so glad when I'm done with this shit.

Expect there to be several of these posts over the next few weeks.

I have five of the Angry Dark My Little Cthulhu figs (above)  that I need to find homes for. Figured I'd offer them to you guys before I threw them to the will of the eBay gods. They retail for $30; I can let them go for $20.00, plus shipping. I'm leaving them open on here for one week, then they go on eBay. So let me know if you want one.

w00t!

We just rolled to 4000 positive feedback on Ebay! 1000 uniques in just over 7 months. If I really turn up the heat, I might be able to hit 5000 by the end of the year or soon after.

They like me! They really, really like me!

EDIT: Damn you Ebay! They suspended someone who'd given me positive feedback- which meant they deleted the feedback and that dropped me back down to 3999. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Edit #2: Back up to 4001! Yeah!

grrrrrrr

With the new postal rates and classifications, it now costs me 1.48 to mail 4 cards in a bubble envelope w/ delivery confirmation.

It had been costing 77 cents!!!!

I am not amused at the thought of editing over 2000 listings to adjust my shipping and handling costs.

I was gonna leave em' but, man, I can't eat that much. I'd be losing money on some items at that point, after postage, Paypal fees, and ebay fees.

Grrrrrrr

Heads Up!

Why is it people think OMFG I HAVEN't GOTTEN MY PACKAGE AND I PAID YOU 5 DAYS AGO AND PAYPAL SAYD YOU SHIPPED THE NEXT DAY!!! IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE TWO DAYS TO GET HERE!

Ebay started putting "ship time" estimates on the auction pages. Now I gree that Frist Class often takes only 2-5 days- but it can take as much as TWO WEEKS! People just don't get this. I say in the auctions that I will mail your items within 48 hours of payment. In the winner letter, it says that as well, and includes that if you pay on the weekend, it ships on Mon. For the most part, I stick to this, give or take a day. I print the label the day after, then package and ship the next day.

But people (esp newbies) are starting to e-mail me at less than 4 shipping days after the shipping notification going "where's my stuff?" I mean, get a grip people! The Postal Service is a space/time dimension unto itself, arbitrarily speeding up and slowing down time. It can take TWO WEEKS for me to mail someting across town, but someone in Maine gets their stuff in TWO DAYS? WTF?

*headdesk*

It's not even 10am and I need a drink...

Question???

Okay, If you buy something on Ebay on a Friday Night, Paypal the money on Saturday, receive a shipping notification(with TRACKING) on Monday, and your items are delievered to your address on the 24th (7 days later) is that SLOW??????

It's not my fault you live at a SCHOOL in a DORM and the SCHOOL was slow about getting you your package!!! Next time, check the freaking shipping info before posting feedback!!!!

Fuckin' Newbies...

You must be pretty desperate for some cards when you buy a .99 lot, and are willing to pay 7.50 for S&H. What, they don't have uncommons in France?

ETA: Yep, they must not have uncommons and commons in France. I've had 4 more single purchases of that type from there.

Okay, had my day off yesterday (sort of, anyway) and am now back to the grind. I'm uber-stressed right now. Too much to do, too many people, too many directions...

But I did at least get my HP fic finished and submited to RS before the challenge deadline. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck until it's posted, I think. I'm not gonna post it here, for a few reasons: it's a bit long, only 3-4 people on my f-list would be interested, and one of the challenge judges is on my f-list. I'd be happy to e-mail it to interested parties, however.

I'm glad I actually wrote something of substance for once. Of course, I've been picking it apart since I hit the send button yesterday afternoon, but that's me.

So Lynson parents look to have sold their house; they close in about 2 weeks. Bye-bye jacuzzi tub, my back will miss you! I want to put a 'cuzzi in our house, but no matter which bathroom we put it in, we'd have to do some pretty major demo to make it fit. Not in the budget right now, sadly.

The cats and dog have been super-needy this week. I can't take a step with out one of the 5 being underfoot. I don't know what's triggered it, but I wish they'd give be a bit of space.

Back to keeping cokes in the house for Lynson. Not happy about it. Too damn expensive and the caffine is not good for either of us.

My turn to do Full Moon next week. I have no idea what I'm gonna do for rit, but at least I have a few days to figure it out. OMG and book study is becoming such a pain! I'm really not liking the book we picked this time around. It's just...awful!

And if another idiot from Italy wins our auctions I am going to scream! What part of WE ONLY SHIP TO THE COUNTRIES LISTED do you not understand? Does it say Italy on that list? NO!

Blegh, time to get back to it, I suppose..

Ebay, ebay, ebay. How I love to ebay. Spend all day scanning, bagging, tagging...upload and get it outta here!

Comic books and action figure, magic cards and pokemon. Anything and everything that I no longer want! Wyvern, X-files, Diskwars, Star Trek OMG where did that come from? How long has that been in storage make it go away!

Task Force Games? I have 500, sell them for 8 bucks a piece. They were free so all is profit thank you thank you come again.

Ebay, ebay, ebay. How I love to ebay. Spend all day scanning, bagging, tagging...upload everything get it outta here!

After the drama last week, this comment made me laugh so hard I fell off the chair!

Quick like the Monkey! Like a hobo on crack, I'll keep coming back for more! A++

"Quick like the Monkey"?!? WTF?

I think I am going to take a nap. We didn't get in from the Prerelease until 1am last night, and horrible sinus drainage kept me up coughing, so no sleep for me.

I have questions to answer and drabbles to write. I know. It will happen. Just not now.

You know, it's not really important in the grand scheme of things but this still irks me off...

We got our first ever negative feedback on our Ebay account.

If I (since it's really just me who does the retail) had actually done something horrible to warrent it it would be one thing. What DID I do? It was discovered that there had been an error in the listing. Okay, the listing error was my mistake. Clarified the problem with the buyer and offered a compromise or a refund and after going back and forth for two days with the buyer, who indicated that they did not want what was actually described in the auction, I refunded their paypal payment. They STILL received positive feedback for the payment. Here's the comment, left 19 days after things were supposedly resolved.

did not communicate to see if i wanted to keep the item, bad customer service

Exactly what part was bad? Admitting to a mistake? Trying to work it out? Refunding the money? Giving essentially free feedback?

If they'd left some feedback complaing about the listing error, I could understand, but....

It just annoys me terribly. I've been very happy proud of having 100% postive feedback with over 1800 unique, happy ebayers. I knew it was only a matter of time before we got hit not matter how hard I worked to keep everyone happy. It sounds funny, but I'd have much rather it have been for an actual PROBLEM, as opposed to someone being petty, ya know?

Oh well, back to the pre-Prerelease grind....
