Yeah, we're cool. I'm actually preparing a post for my LJ about the past few days because so many people started worrying, so you'll get the full version of the story later, but the gist is that the baby isn't quite imminent, but things are well begun. :) Mostly, we were very, very tired and needed to withdraw into our own little world just a little to cope with that, which I'm told is normal during pregnancy, even for dads-to-be. But I'll dish all the details, later, don't worry.
As for the witchy thing... Well, it's sort of an identity politics thing, you know? I self-identify as a witch, though I adhere to absolutely no Tradition or traditional definition of the term. I self-define my self-identity, and I don't even pretend that my definitions are static. Which can be very frustrating for other people, I know. The short version is that I'm mostly agnistic (whatever that means) with a stong atheistic bent, and for good measure, I'm an apatheist (summed up in the phrase "I don't know, and I don't care"). I'm also a blasphemer by just about every organized religion's standards. The witchy thing... Sort of came from my having a lot of respect for the self-educated, self-confident, innately subversive, free-thinking, strong-willed type in general. And that's the short version, lol!
