Yeah, it's a good price for Memphis, esp considering the size; it's right at 2500sqft, if I recall. You can't buy a new house (or an old house, for that matter) in the greater Memphis area for less than $175K, and that's for something half the size. Of course, that all depends on the neigborhood. you CAN find cheaper houses, but you sacrifice peace of mind, if you know what I mean. It's sad 'cause some of those areas have great old historical's in them.
We probably wouldn't be getting such a big place if we didn't run a business (really two) out of our home. We need the space. And with 4 cats, renting an house can get a bit cost-prohibitive.
