She carefully severs connections and removes a component. She carries the piece over to her worktable. There are some other pieces in various states of completion there. One of these, she starts to integrate into the removed component.

This argument is similar to the argument Shockwave used when confronted about the rebels on his Cybertron. Essentially, the devil you know is easier to control than the devil you don't.
