Passing along and pointing out.

I'd just like to direct all the artists, writers, designers, and other assorted creative people on my list to an excellent rebuttal to the argument currently revolving around the Googlebooks fiasco. by

satyrblade aka Phil Brucato. Gaming buddies, you might recognize the name, as he's been in the industry for quite some time.

And if you don't know what fiasco I'm talking about, here's a link to one of many articles on the subject.

And yes, yes, I know I haven't made a post of substance (ie about me) in ages. Getting to it. Promise.

Oops...

After several rounds of tests, Kira snapped. “Do you believe me, now?”

Doctor Bashir shook his head in bemusement. “I see it, but I still don’t believe it.”

The petite Bajoran yanked him off the floor by his shirt-front. “Doctor, I swear I will shove you out the nearest airlock if you ever tell anyone about this.”

She wasn’t lying, he knew, but he couldn’t help chuckling. “How did Odo get in there, anyway?”

“Don’t. Ask.” Her tone was icy, yet spoke volumes. “Well? Can you…remove him?”

“Actually, I think he’ll emerge on his own. In about nine months.”

“What?!”

Biting the bullet...

Taking a chance here, since I haven't written ANYTHING in way too long. And I'm a bit intimidated, since some of you guys are pretty darn good writers. But I figured, why not give it a shot:)

The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they can post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. (this is optional; you don't HAVE to do it in return, but it would be pretty spiffy if you did)

Your friends can pick a relationship, a story arc, a missing scene, or pretty much anything they want, unless the author has previously mentioned that they will not write it. They comment with what they want, and you write drabbles and post it in your LiveJournal.

Fandoms I may be able to write in, hopefully without causing pain are: Harry Potter, Stargate (SG1 or Atlantis), new Battlestar Galactica, new Dr. Who, CSI, and Vampire Hunter D. (yeah, it's quite the random sampling)
